DecodeRecode - Celebrating 100 Years of Alan Turing. A globally networked interactive event celebrating the centenary of Alan Turing’s birth, as part of the official opening of the University of Salford building at MediaCity on 23rd March 2012. For this significant telematic event we connected with over 30 partners for 24 hours in a worldwide live digital media performance.

Many thanks to all of the Decode/Recode participants it has been a fantastic 24 hours and we have gathered a broad range of rich content. We will be screening the results over the next week from 26th to 30th March, 9.30am to 4.30pm GMT.
The Decode/Recode event has been running for 16 hours- we have been screening works form partners across the Globe. The event has been a huge success and a great tribute to Alan Turing. Throughout the day there have been many visitors and the University of Salford MediaCityUk Building was opened by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh this morning. Students have been working throughout the day at the computer terminals, with a hardcore left now of six. We are continuing to live stream throughout the night out next live link up will be with Australia.
